Can I Use The Same Pencil for Eyes and Lips?

Yes, it’s okay to interchange tools between eyes and lips, as long as it’s only you using it. Never share eyeliner, mascara or any makeup with anyone else. Sharing your makeup can result in spreading infections like pink eye.

If you want to use your eyeliner for lip liner, go for it. If you’re worried about spreading bacteria, simply sharpen the pencil and use it on the desired area. Sharpening the pencil will remove the part that was just used, leaving you with a clean slate.

It’s actually a smart and cheap way to do your makeup if you find a color with dual purposes. If you don’t, don’t be afraid to experiment with your colors!

I use STILA Kajal Eye Liner in color apricot nude to outline the outside of my lips too to help keep lipstick from running up in my fine lines. This eyeliner in this color is best used on the waterline to make your eyes look more open.
