Foundation Makeup 101: Cream Foundations

Cream foundations are best used for those with dry skin. This foundation is very moisturizing  because of its thick consistency. Cream bases can also double as a concealer. Having the same concealer and foundation creates a flawless appearance because everything is blended with the exact same color of foundation.

It’s important to choose the right shade of foundation. A shade too dark can give the makeup an “unnatural” appearance and may be harder to blend into the skin. A shade too light may not give the desired coverage when concealing.

When using a cream foundation, the Green Spade sponge is perfect for concealing around the nose, eyes, and mouth. The Pink Teardrop and Purple Pear are great for larger areas on the face like forehead, cheeks, and chin.
