At Beauty Junkees, our mission is to be a testing ground for all things beauty so that consumers can find honest reviews from real women before spending your hard working money on the next miracle. Our team of women from various age groups shares their favorite beauty hacks, as well as which high end products to avoid.
The purpose of makeup is to make a person feel more self-confident in their looks and in their daily lives. While beauty helps, so does a college education. With that in mind, Beauty Junkees is proud to offer a $500 scholarship to the person who can explain how makeup has enhanced their lives.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
Application Deadline: May 31, 2019
Winner Announced: June 15, 2019
The $500 scholarship is being offered the student with plans on attending a college or university (or a current college student) who can demonstrate a flair for writing.
Applicants for this scholarship should submit a 1,000 word essay on how makeup has enhanced their lives at various times in their life using anecdotes and personal experiences.
REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY
- You must have been accepted into an accredited college, university or technical college in the United States or Canada.
- Currently display a 3.0 GPA. For those GAP student applying to college after a year off, your last GPA in school must have been at least a 3.0.
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
- Any class student may apply: rising Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors. Additionally, those seeking a scholarship for their Master’s degree may apply as well.
APPLICATION PROCESS
- Submit an essay not to exceed 1000 words to scholarship@beautyjunkees.com in either .doc or .pdf format.
- We encourage creativity,, however, the essay should contain no vulgarity or profanity.
- Your essay should showcase your mastery of the English language, excellent grammar and be well thought out.
- Once submitted, no entries can be returned or edited.
SELECTION PROCESS
- The winner should be able to provide proof of acceptance into the school of choice and proof of high school diploma.
- Winners will be notified by email. If the winner does not reply within 14 days, a new winner will be selected.
